Day 1Arrive in Katra | Visit Vaishno Devi Temple

On arrival at the Jammu airport/railway station, board your designated vehicle and drive to the town of Katra.

Nestled at the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains, Katra is the only gateway to the famous shrine of Vaishno Devi. The town is marked by plenty of hotels, restaurants, fast food joints and traditional markets that boost its tourism industry.

Once you reach Katra, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and relax for a while. Later, undertake a trek to the cave shrine of Vaishno Devi, one of the holiest pilgrimages in the country. Before starting your trek, register at the Yatra Reservation Counter (YRC) and get a computerised paper, which is the documentary permission to proceed towards the shrine

The shrine is located at an altitude of over 5200 feet in the lap of the three-peaked mountain - Trikuta. This holy cave attracts millions of devotees from all parts of India and abroad, all round the year. The shrine is dedicated to Goddess Vaishno, an incarnation of Maa Durga. Inside the temple sanctum are three revered rocks called the Pindies.

Once you reach there, seek blessings of the goddess and return to Katra in the evening. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 Drive from Katra to Pahalgam

Take a road journey to Pahalgam – the 'Valley of Shepherds'.

Pahalgam is a small town situated at an elevation of around 7200 feet above sea level on the banks of the Lidder River. It is unarguably among the most mesmerising places on earth and offers several breathtaking views. The town is base to some popular trekking routes, such as the Amarnath Yatra. Owing to its serenity and opportunity for several adventure sports, the hill station is frequented by locals and tourists, alike.

Upon arrival in Pahalgam, check-in at the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 3 Sightseeing in Pahalgam

Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Pahalgam. You may admire the natural beauty of this small town while taking a walk along the banks of pristine Lidder River. If you are an adventure enthusiast, you may try some fun activities like trout fishing, white water rafting, snow skiing (during winters), camping, trekking, mountaineering, golf and horse riding. You may also visit the local markets to shop for items made here.

Thereafter, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4 Drive from Pahalgam to Srinagar | Sightseeing in Srinagar

Embark on a road journey to Srinagar. It is the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir and is located in the centre of the beautiful Kashmir Valley. An epitome of romance and beauty, the city is flanked by several dazzling lakes like Dal, Anchar and Nagin.

Once you reach, check-in at the hotel and relax for some time. In the afternoon, enjoy a 2-hour shikara ride (Charges applicable) on Dal Lake. Behold the spectacular view of the sparkling waters that reflect the sun rays against the backdrop of snow-covered Himalayan ranges.

Afterwards, visit the local crafts bazaar and buy some intricately-carved articles of wood and papier mache. Later, proceed to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 5 Sightseeing in Srinagar

Proceed to visit the fascinating Mughal Gardens - Nishat Garden and Shalimar Garden. Cherish the view of several beautiful species of flowering plants in these terraced-gardens. Next, visit the Handicrafts Emporium, popular for traditional hand-knitted shawls and silk carpets. Also visit the famous Shankaracharya Temple, which is also called Jyesteshwara Temple and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Its history dates back to 371 BC and is considered as the oldest shrine in the state.

After this sightseeing tour, come back to the hotel and get a good night's sleep.

Day 6 Depart from Srinagar
